[[install-chrome-extension]]

Chrome features a built-in web store for browser add-ons, but some of these are unavailable within the store for various reasons. Below is a how-to guide for installing an add-on in Chrome from a third-party source.

Note: This guide assumes you have an extension file (.zip or otherwise) downloaded to your PC.

1. Right-click on the downloaded extension file and select Extract All, then follow the on-screen prompts to save the file's contents to a memorable location, such as the Desktop.

2. Open Chrome and click on the Three-Dot Menu > More tools > Extensions.

3. In the Manage Extensions tab, move the slider in the top-right to enable Developer Mode, and then click Load Unpacked.

3. Choose the folder you placed on your desktop in step 1 and click OK.

4. Your extension should now appear in the list of installed extensions in the Manage Extensions tab.
